sleeping/waking etching

For me the difficulty in starting things is to finish them. With a preference (i think) to do several things at once & i suppose i keep things close. It looks as though these etchings are complete now..Only one of them needs burnishing & i dont feel the need to add anything more into them in terms of colour. A few minor tweeks.....more paper to carry them..perhaps six altogether.
They belong to the night whispers thematically & id like to make a box for this series of prints eventually...mmmmmmm

An exhibition of works on paper by emerging printmakers from Queensland College of Art Print Club & Impress Printmakers in Brisbane, Australia. It will be an exhibition that is sure to be an eclectic collection of works on paper. Curated by Russell Craig & Noreen Graham of Graham Galleries in Brisbane to coincide with PCA AGM & several activities that comprises.
Lots of printmaking aficionados are expected to attend the annual AGM & a vist to QCA is on the itinerary. A proportion of sales of works will benefit Impress as they set up their new studio & also the printmaking students of QCA.

The next impress printmaking workshop is fast approaching. Tell your friends & enemies.Collagraphs have so many advantages.It is so accessible to all participants irrespective of skill level & importantly keeps costs to a minimum. Printmaking can be a very expensive endeavor after the purchase of plate, paper, inks & then some. I think this is a worthwhile skill to learn for all avid printmakers out there, part collage, drawing,intaglio or relief - its got potential. I'm going to make a series i think...for the show & tell.
